SCHLEICH SHIRE TO A STRONG STALLION

It has gone too many days, since I got to utilise this particular mold. Schleich Shire mare 2005 is an evergreen and ever so inspiring model. This time Im doing some leg work and giving him a strong, alert stance. The gentle expression must remain though - it is after all his best feature. Stay tuned for the final look, which will likely deviate from the idea sketch! = )

Aug 19th: I may have blacked out sculpting his new hairdo. This stallion ended up being all about very detailed hair. I went full maximalist adding strands, volume and movement as much as I could. His stance looking up and far away with this new overall vibe creates a sense of something Im not fully certain of. Like there's something coming, something about to happen, but even in the promise of an approaching storm he seems confident in facing it by himself.

He is very hard to photograph from the right side, but in real life he looks just amazing haha. Im very proud of him and the art I was able to create.

Please note he is pictured unprepped. Ears will be refined, belly and around the body will be sanded. Some prep will be left to new owner as usual.
